Careers in Art

Art at the University of Glamorgan
Based in the Faculty’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the University of Glamorgan offers a supportive and challenging environment to those wishing to undertake the study and practice of arts. From the popular Foundation Studies in Art and Design to multidisciplinary degree and masters courses in Art Practice, the Faculty of Business and Society has an extensive portfolio of art courses.
Depending on your course choice, your study time will involve formal lectures, workshops, demonstrations, tutorials and visits off campus – not to mention talks from inspirational visiting speakers. Supplemented with a series of exhibitions, the variety of our course delivery and the subject’s interdisciplinary nature is also enhanced by our museum status and proximity to art galleries and museums based in south Wales.
With a broad range of specialist facilities and art studios based on our Treforest campus, this only adds to a learning environment that gives art students the freedom to get creative and innovative.
